Students took a much-needed break from the hectic semester this week to take a sunset picnic at Curtis-Hixon Waterfront Park, an event put on by the Excursions Committee of the Honors Executive Council.

Pausing for Pumpkin Painting
It’s undoubtedly that time of year. Students are feeling the weight of the end of the semester and all that that entails: final papers, presentations, and exams are looming. Add to that a semester in which not one but two hurricanes impacted our community and it’s no wonder stress levels are high. What better way to briefly step away from it all than with a fun social event like pumpkin painting?
Students were so creative and produced some really beautiful final products! From starry scenes to scary smiles to ravenous raptors, Honors students brought their best pumpkin painting game and had fun together in the process.
It’s no hocus pocus, Honors loves Halloween!
Honors students had a great time enjoying the spooky season with a screening of ‘Hocus Pocus’ at Sparkman Wharf in Channelside. The free TECO streetcar was a fun way to get there and back too!
