Honors Excursion – Snorkeling at Egmont Key
Biology Professor, Kevin Beach, took a group of Honors students to Egmont Key to go snorkeling and learn about the flora and fauna in the area. About 15 students enjoyed the ride on the BIOS II, the Biology Department’s research vessel, then spent about an hour snorkeling with Dr. Beach and his research assistant and Honors student Ryan Tharp. On the way back to Tampa, Dr. Beach showed the students examples of the various plants and algae that were growing in the area.
