Tampa Honors students kicked off the Fall Semester the Friday before classes with their first social. McKay Hall was filled with hungry first years excited to start their journey in the Honors Program at UT. Thanks to Daily Eats, jenga, volleyball, and impromptu dancing, these first years had plenty of smiles at their first experience as Honors Students.

Angelina Young, a Tampa local, and political science major, wanted to join the Honors program because she was “always involved with clubs and community work and felt Honors embodied that experience”. Young said she knew “Tampa would be a perfect fit”.

Kyle French, from Minnesota, is looking forward to the Honors program and “all the different opportunities to get involved in the community and the school.“ Kyle is “very thankful for being here [ at UT ]. It’s a great school, a beautiful campus, and has wonderful opportunities to get involved”.
