The Honors Program is offering an exciting study abroad opportunity in Northern Ghana for Spring/Summer 2027 that combines global travel with hands-on research experience. In this course (Hon 257), students will develop their own research project or collaborate on a community-based initiative during the spring semester, including preparing for IRB approval, before traveling to Ghana to collect real-world data. With no prerequisites and funding opportunities available, this program is especially valuable for students considering an Honors thesis or looking to strengthen their academic and professional goals. Participants will leave the course with field research experience and access to a unique dataset from an understudied region, making it a standout addition to any resume or future career path.
